QB’s Flooring is growing, and we’re looking to add a select group of skilled flooring installers to our team. If you’re an experienced installer looking for extra work, steady projects, or a reliable partner to help fill the gaps in your schedule, we may be the right fit for you. Our goal is to build a trusted network of professionals we can call on whenever new jobs come in, ensuring our customers receive high‑quality workmanship while our installers benefit from consistent opportunities.
By sharing your company information with us, you can be added to our roster of approved installers. When we receive projects that match your skill set and availability, we’ll reach out directly with job details. This allows you to focus on what you do best — delivering clean, precise installations — while we handle the marketing, customer communication, and scheduling. We’re committed to building long‑term partnerships with installers who take pride in their craft, maintain professional standards, and want to grow alongside a reputable flooring brand
Our installers are expected to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer care on every project. We rely on skilled individuals who take pride in precise, clean, and reliable work, ensuring each installation reflects the quality our brand promises.
From proper subfloor preparation to flawless finishing details, our installers follow strict guidelines designed to deliver durable, beautiful results. Beyond technical skill, we expect consistent communication, respect for customers’ homes, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, tidy work environment throughout the entire installation process.
We partner with installers who bring professionalism, experience, and strong attention to detail. You should be confident working with:
• Vinyl plank (LVP/LVT)
• Laminate
• Hardwood
• Tile
• Baseboards & transitions
• Subfloor preparation
• Old floor removal
If you’re committed to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you.

• Must have a valid business license
• Must carry liability insurance (you choose the minimum — usually $1M–$2M)
• Must have WCB/WorkSafeBC coverage (since you’re in BC)
• Must sign your installer agreement
Why it matters: Protects you from liability and keeps everything professional.
• Minimum 2–3 years installing vinyl, laminate, and hardwood
• Proven experience with:
• Subfloor prep
• Transitions & trims
• Baseboard installation
• Door jamb undercutting
• Moisture testing (for vinyl/hardwood)
• Ability to read floor plans and measure accurately
Why it matters: You avoid beginners who learn on your customers’ floors
• Table saw or track saw
• Jigsaw
• Oscillating multi‑tool
• Rubber mallet
• Pull bar & tapping block
• Spacers
• Moisture meter
• Level
• Knee pads
• Shop vac
• Laser line (optional but preferred)
Why it matters: Good tools = clean, accurate work.
• Use dust control (vacuum, drop sheets)
• Clean up daily
• Remove all debris at the end of the job
• Wear clean clothing and shoe covers
• Be respectful and polite in customer homes
• Avoid smoking/vaping on site
• Communicate clearly and professionally
Why it matters: Customers judge installers more than the floor
All installations must strictly follow manufacturer installation guidelines, including proper expansion gap requirements, straight line layout, correct plank or tile staggering, and appropriate underlayment usage. Transitions must be installed correctly, with no visible gaps, peaking, or lifting in the finished floor. Trims and baseboards should be smooth, flush, and professionally finished. Attention to these details is critical, as consistent quality workmanship directly protects and strengthens your brand reputation.
What we want from our installers is simple: show up on time, provide accurate timelines, communicate immediately if delays arise, avoid taking on overlapping jobs that create schedule conflicts, and complete every project within the agreed timeframe—because reliability is everything in home services.
Installers must provide:
• Before photos
• During photos (subfloor condition, moisture readings)
• After photos
• Notes on any issues found
• Signed completion form
Why it matters: Protects you from disputes and helps with marketing.
Installers must:
• Communicate with QB’s Flooring, not directly with the customer about pricing
• Report unexpected issues immediately
• Confirm measurements before installation
• Follow your process, not their own
Why it matters: Keeps your brand in control.
Installers must agree to:
• A 1‑year workmanship warranty
• Returning to fix installation‑related issues
• Not charging customers directly for warranty work
Why it matters: Customers trust you more when you stand behind the work.
Installers must:
• Do a final walkthrough with the customer
• Explain basic care instructions
• Install felt pads on furniture (you can provide them)
• Ensure the customer is satisfied before leaving
Why it matters: This creates 5‑star reviews and referrals.
Installers are independent professionals responsible for the quality, accuracy, and safety of their own work. They are expected to follow manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and all instructions provided for each project. Installers are fully responsible for their tools, equipment, transportation, and job‑site conduct. Any damage caused by improper installation, misuse of tools, failure to follow specifications, or neglect of safety procedures is the sole responsibility of the installer.
We are not responsible for installer‑caused delays, measurement errors, material waste, or damage to the customer’s property resulting from negligence or improper handling. Installers are also responsible for maintaining valid insurance, licenses, and certifications required to perform flooring work. Any fines, injuries, or legal issues arising from non‑compliance fall entirely on the installer.
Installers must ensure the job site is left clean and safe. We are not liable for incomplete cleanup, improper disposal of materials, or failure to document job progress. Installers are also responsible for reporting subfloor issues, moisture problems, or structural concerns before installation begins. Failure to report these conditions removes us from any liability related to future flooring failures
